Our Impact

Empowering Smallholder Farmers through Research

AGRISS has established a Farmer Research Network (FRN), engaging over 3,000 farmers to develop sustainable agricultural practices, improve soil fertility, and combat pests and diseases, fostering long-term resilience.

Enhancing Food and Nutrition Security

Through partnerships with DIG and RTI, AGRISS promotes nutrition-sensitive agriculture, empowering vulnerable households with sustainable farming techniques, diversified home gardens, and value addition strategies to combat malnutrition.

Transforming the Lives of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs)

As a local implementing partner for MWENDO, AGRISS has supported over 12,000 OVCs, improving their access to health, education, and livelihood opportunities through nutrition-sensitive gardening and financial empowerment programs.

Strengthening Climate Change Resilience

AGRISS actively advocates for climate adaptation and mitigation, equipping smallholder farmers with knowledge and techniques to build resilience against climate-related challenges while promoting sustainable land management.

Building Farmer Networks and Organizational Capacity

AGRISS fosters collaborations among farmers, NGOs, and research institutions, creating strong farmer organizations that enhance productivity, improve market access, and promote collective decision-making in agricultural development.

Facilitating Economic and Social Well-being

By integrating agriculture with economic empowerment, AGRISS strengthens household incomes through agro-enterprises, business skill development, and group savings schemes, ensuring long-term sustainability for marginalized communities.
