Healthy Food FOR Children in Siaya

The Healthy Food for Children in Siaya (HFCS) project is supported by Sustainable Energy (SE), Denmark, through Danish public funding and is implemented by Agriculture Improvement Support Services (AGRISS). The project aims to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable children and their communities in Siaya County, who are at risk of natural hazards caused by climate change.

Vision and Objectives

Enhanced Nutrition & Climate Adaptation:
  1. Ensuring vulnerable children and their families have access to improved nutrition
  2. Promoting sustainable agronomic practices and climate adaptation strategies.
Community Empowerment & Local Action:
  1. Enabling targeted villages and surrounding communities to initiate local actions on climate adaptation, agronomic practices, and childhood nutrition.
  2. Strengthening collaboration with local authorities and community representatives to sustain these initiatives.
